If I'm quite honest, it's filth. Pseudoscience, farce politics, bad puns, a loose plot and even looser clothing, topped with a mountain of bare boobies. God, I love this series.
Volume 13 is not quite as good as the previous volume, but it does have its moments. We have Kimihito and Lala grabbing a cab to chase a truck on which Suu has hitched a ride, and there is a hilarious scene with the cabbie's thoughts. By the way, does anyone else like how Lala's dramatic dialogue is translated into a more normal format? The climax is Suu's battle with a monster slime and it is a nice tribute to those old Japanese monster movies (and Ultraman; I remember watching that when I was young). As I said, it's not the best single volume but Monster Musume is still the best manga series out there, as far as I'm concerned.
This started out as a truly fun series, a rather fresh spin on the oldharem plotline, with interesting characters and a more well developedmale lead than you usually see in this genre. It was cute, with justoccasionally a dash of ecchi. Lately, Okayado seems to have tossedthe cute and gone mostly ecchi with a dash of borderline hentai. Kindof suggests he's running low on ideas.
This was a surprising read that showed a little bit of the missing information on Suu, on top of that it revealed a small corporation that deals with the special beings and how they make profits from them. It is a good time killer and a thrill to read. The only issue I had was that the cover page fell out as soon as I opened the book.

While not as good as the stuff with said rogue monster girls this volume was a treat, a nice fully enclosed ride that givess Suu the spotlight for the first time in awhile. Just an overall fun time
